Beta Alpha Psi

Hope everyone had a safe drive home after Friday's meeting and enjoyed their weekend. The first meeting of the winter semester was a tremendous success; the speaker seemed pleased to have so many interested Betas and we had a large amount of new candidates. We would like to thank you for your interest in the Kappa Sigma chapter and hope you all decide to become members.

Our next meeting will be early in February and will feature the Ford Internship Panel, so come ready to network! They will be discussing intership opportunities for the summer and answering any questions you all may have.

Also, remember dues should be paid by February 3rd, they can be dropped off in an envelope in the Beta Alpha Psi mailbox (located in Quad A of FCS) or brought to the meeting on that evening.

Now that we've held our on-campus training, members will be completing their State & City online training modules to get certified to prepare the tax returns for low income families & individuals.

Members who missed the Federal tax training, can still register online on the Accounting Aid Society's website on the "Volunteer Hub" & can either select another training site (such as Wayne State or Oakland Community College) or can complete the online training module.

Please complete your training as soon as possible so that you can be certified and then can sign up for a VITA volunteer site location.  Contact Frankie Ivanaj, Vice President, @ fivanaj@umd.umich.edu with any questions.  Betas are going to make a big impact this tax season!
